Open the Remove Background tool
Open the Remove Background tool from the Image Tools menu, or click the button below this guide.

Upload your photo
Drag in a JPG or PNG image. The clearer the subject vs. background, the better the AI cutout.

Wait for the AI cutout
Processing usually takes 2–5 seconds. The result appears with a transparent (checkered) background so you can verify the cutout edges.

Refine and download
Use the brush tool to add or remove edge pixels if needed. When you're happy, download as a transparent PNG.
Pro tips
- Solid-color backgrounds give the cleanest cutouts — try a photo against a wall if you can.
- After cutting out, drop the PNG onto a new background using the Image Collage tool.
- For e-commerce, also crop to a square aspect ratio so it fits product galleries.
