Why automatic deletion
We never need to keep your files long-term. Tools that touch our servers do so only to process the file and return the result. Once that is done, there is no reason to retain the data — and we don't.
When files are deleted
Files are deleted in any of the following situations, whichever comes first:
- Immediately after the result is delivered to your browser.
- Within 1 hour for files that finish processing successfully.
- Within 30 minutes if the processing job fails or is cancelled.
Browser-side tools
Many of our tools (image compression, PDF merge, watermarking, video trim) run 100% in your browser. For these tools, your file is never uploaded to our servers in the first place — there is nothing to delete because there was nothing transmitted.
Verification
Our deletion process is automated and runs as a scheduled task on every storage node. If you have a compliance requirement and need a written confirmation of file deletion for a specific request, contact [email protected].
